Quick Scan
New to XR? Unfamiliar with the technology? I can do a Quick Scan of your work context, and explain possible ways of making XR work for you. In 2 – 3 sessions, you will gain understanding of the basic elements needed to make XR applications, and understanding of how it can add value.
Workshops
A joint session with stakeholders/experts is an efficient way of condensing and processing the collected information and make decisions. A typical composition for such a workshop are domain and business experts, technology experts and usability specialists. I can organize and facilitate such workshops, to make sure there are actionable outcomes.
Technology insights
Today’s world produces new technology at breakneck speeds. I help navigate the technical landscape by bringing in 20 year of experience in interactive systems and XR. Starting from your business context, I can select the technologies relevant for you, and see how they could fit in.
There are many tools and tricks to help collect this information and make it manageable. These are part of the toolbox I bring with me.
User research methods
End user interviews
To elicit deep and specific information from end users, one-on-one interviews are very effective. The rich and deep information that can be gained is a tradeoff versus the time spend on conducting the interviews
Observational studies
Similarly to interviews, observing how people actually perform tasks in their daily setting can give valuable insights into problems, bottlenecks and boundary conditions.
Surveys, questionnaires
Surveys are a cheap and low-key method to get feedback. The depth of information learned will be less though.
The XR headset zoo
The diversity of headsets out there can be daunting. Here are some of the sets I have worked with in the past years.
