3D Telepresence
Spatial interaction at a distance. Provide live 3D volumetric video across a 5G network, shown in XR to a remote expert, in order to provide guidance, advice and instruction to a local caregiver.
Virtual Heart
Enable risk assessment for device placement, by visualizing patient data combined with simulations and analysis.
Oncology workflow tools
In the FP7 projects INTEGRATE and Eureca, I created clinical applications to support clinicians in selecting care clinical trials for their patients, and several tools for analysing patient population data. This was implemented on semantic interoperability services, and distributed, heterogeneous datawarehouses. All applications were evaluated with clinicians.
US ergonomics
XR visuals change the dynamics of working with visual guidance. This impact the workflow as well as the physical ergonomics. A simple prototype helped to evaluate the effects qualitatively and quantitatively.

3D Scanning
Creating 3D models from architecture is by now a common spatial computing capability. I performed technology assessments, vendor selection, work process definition, internal training and assisted to our staff in global markets to start utilizing the 3D data.

Demonstrator construction
I have constructed live demonstrators for (trade)shows such as RSNA and World Expo, but also for special events such as Next Simplicity.

DVD-Harddisk recorder
To integrate legacy DVD code into the DVDHD-725 set, I created a code generation/merge system to manage the large state transition tables (2 tables of 15×150).
